We’re excited to share that Luis Maldonado has joined AtScale as our new Chief Product Officer.
Luis will lead AtScale’s global product strategy, roadmap, and execution as we scale our AI-ready semantic layer platform. As enterprises move from AI experimentation to true AI infrastructure, product discipline and architectural rigor matter more than ever. Luis joins us at exactly the right moment.
Luis brings more than 30 years of experience building and scaling enterprise software products. Over the past 15 years, he has focused on data and analytics platforms, delivering solutions across data engineering, data lakes and warehousing, and security analytics.
Most recently, Maldonado served as Vice President of Product at dbt Labs. Previously, he held product leadership roles at Amazon Web Services, Sqrrl Data (acquired by AWS), and Akamai Technologies.
As our CEO Chris Lynch put it:
“Luis brings deep product leadership at a time when enterprises are moving from AI experimentation to AI infrastructure. Building durable, governed systems that scale takes experience and discipline. Luis has spent his career delivering enterprise platforms that meet that standard. That’s exactly where AtScale is headed.”
Luis brings a founder’s mindset to product leadership, combining long-term architectural thinking with a bias toward execution. He has built and scaled product organizations that balance innovation with operational rigor, ensuring teams deliver enterprise-grade capabilities while maintaining velocity and focus.
In Luis’s words:
“AtScale sits at a critical intersection of data, governance, and AI. AI systems require trusted, consistent business logic to operate reliably at scale. I’m excited to lead our product strategy as we continue building the semantic foundation enterprises need to drive analytics, control costs, and deploy AI with confidence.”
Luis holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and resides outside of Boston, Massachusetts.
We’re thrilled to have him on board as we build the governed semantic foundation enterprises rely on for analytics and AI.
