Job Description

As a Senior AI Engineer you will own important work and find it difficult to turn down a good challenge. You are excited about the latest developments in AI and keep abreast of the latest tools and technologies. You have experience building AI solutions and productionizing it to solve complex problems. You have strong communication skills and can work with colleagues from a variety of technical and non-technical backgrounds. You will use the latest AI tools, LLMs, and other technologies to solve real world problems for our customers.

Working Hours

AtScale is a globally distributed company with headquarters in Boston MA with employees spanning disparate timezones. To facilitate collaboration we require overlap with a core set of working hours from 10am to 5pm eastern time. Preference will be given to candidates in EST and CST.

Responsibilities

• Ability to design and implement AI-powered solutions that improve software functionality
• Problem-solving mindset to debug and optimize AI-generated responses
• Ability to collaborate across AI, DevOps, and software engineering teams for seamless AI model integration
• Experience in AI-driven feature development, from prompt engineering to embedding optimization
• Ability to assess AI-generated content for bias, accuracy, and compliance
• Strong analytical skills to measure AI model performance and recommend improvements
• Curiosity and eagerness to explore new AI models, tools, and best practices for scalable GenAI deployment

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in an engineering role, with exposure to AI/ML concepts
• 7+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies
• Experience training models using AutoML and manually (PyTorch/Keras/TensorFlow)
• Experience deploying models for inference to production environments
• Proven ability to leverage proprietary data for fine tuning, prompt orchestrations, search, retraining and monitoring model outputs
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong software engineering experience, including AI model integration and GenAI API workflows
• Knowledge of modern programming language: Python preferred
• Familiarity with Big Data, SQL, NoSQL, and AI data pipelines
