The Mission
AtScale is the semantic layer for modern data and AI. We bridge the gap between complex cloud data platforms, like Snowflake, Databricks, and Google BigQuery, and the business users who need consistent, AI-ready analytics.
We are looking for an Intern Project Manager – Engineering to help us redefine how the world handles business intelligence by bringing fresh, AI-driven thinking to our engineering operations.
The Impact You’ll Make
In this role, you will embed directly with our VP of Engineering and their management team to drive real organizational change. You will:
- Modernize Engineering Operations: Research, pilot, and evaluate AI-powered PM tools, from intelligent sprint assistants to automated reporting, and recommend what is worth adopting.
- Build Smart Workflows: Create lightweight automations and workflows, such as AI-generated status updates and automated project dashboards, to reduce manual overhead for leadership.
- Drive Project Delivery: Support engineering leadership in coordinating cross-team initiatives, tracking milestones, and surfacing blockers before they impact the roadmap.
Why You’ll Love It Here
- Ownership & Autonomy: This isn’t a “shadow-only” internship; you will take full ownership of projects and drive tangible improvements in how our engineering org runs.
- Innovation-First: Work at the intersection of AI and data, gaining a front-row seat to engineering strategy and roadmap planning during a major company inflection point.
- Culture of Trust: Enjoy direct mentorship from a VP of Engineering and a professional network built on transparency and growth.
Who You Are
- Technically Grounded: You are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering and understand how software gets built.
- AI-Curious: You have a genuine interest in LLMs and their practical applications in the workplace to improve efficiency.
- Systems Thinker: You have strong organizational skills, a bias toward structure, and can communicate clearly with both technical and leadership teams.
- Tech Savvy: You have experience (or a strong desire to learn) project management tools like Jira/Linear and automation tools like Zapier, Python, or JavaScript.
- Location: You are based in or able to work East Coast (ET) hours, with a preference for those in the Boston, MA area.
The Perks
- Competitive Pay: Competitive compensation for a 6-month duration.
- Professional Growth: Portfolio-worthy experience applying AI to solve real-world organizational problems.
- Future-Ready: The chance to shape the future of a global leader in AI-ready analytics.
